Original Watercolour Painting
Mount Daisen – Top of the World is an original watercolour painting inspired by the expansive, elevated landscape of Mount Daisen. The artwork captures a sense of height and openness, with distant forms and shifting tones creating depth and atmosphere across the composition.
Rather than focusing on a specific moment, this piece explores scale and perspective — the feeling of standing above the landscape as it unfolds below. Subtle transitions between foreground and distance invite the viewer to move slowly through the scene, discovering layers of land, light, and space.
Painted in watercolour, the work uses controlled washes and tonal variation to build depth while retaining softness and restraint. The balance between detail and suggestion allows the painting to remain open and contemplative, encouraging longer engagement.
This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork. Once sold, this painting will not be recreated.
