While relaxing on the beach, I found myself watching a small fishing boat quietly making its way along the coastline as gentle waves rolled onto the shore. With the warm Caribbean water washing over my feet and the sound of the sea all around me, it was one of those simple moments that stays with you long after you've returned home.
That memory became the inspiration for this painting.
Rather than focusing on a busy beach or dramatic scenery, I wanted to capture the feeling of looking out across the ocean, watching everyday life unfold against the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea. The breaking wave in the foreground draws you into the scene, while the lone boat adds a quiet focal point that reflects the relaxed pace of island life.
